Implants can be more expensive than dentures yet they offer many benefits and often a much higher quality of life for the patient. Dr. Sirin offers an alternative to making dental implants more affordable.
Dentures are often secured with four to eight implants. If the cost of this exceeds your budget, Dr. Sirin can anchor your lower denture using only two implants. Since the lower denture floats along the ridge of the gumline, it can be less stable than an upper denture which is held in place by suction and tends to be more stable. By using just two implants, they create an anchor to which a snap on denture can be placed. This additional stability is a huge improvement and will save half or more of the cost of placing four to eight implants.
Using two implants over a removable lower denture gives your dentures more stability which in turngives you more confidence. Speaking, laughing, eating and smiling will become worry free because your dentures will no longer slip. Your oral health will be better too. When all your teeth are missing, your jawbone will shrink. After 10 or 20 years there can be so little bone left that it can be very difficult to successfully support a denture. The presence of dental implants prevents that shrinkage and the accompanying facial collapse. So, if budget is an issue, but you still want an improved quality of life, then using a removable upper with a lower snap on denture anchored with two implants would be a cost effective option to consider.
Because implant dentistry isn’t a recognized specialty, any dentist is allowed to place dental implants no matter how little training they have had. Budget affects us all and this concern may influence the type of implants and how many you receive. High-quality implants and their precise placement require thorough planning and the use of titanium tooth roots.
Dr. Sirin has completed post-graduate training in the placing and restoration of implants and does not take shortcuts or use low-quality materials. Before receiving any kind of treatment, your medical history will first be reviewed to assess your oral and physical health to determine if implants are right for you. Additionally, we will take a three-dimensional CT scan and make a custom surgical guide to make certain that implants will be properly placed and to reveal bone structure and avoid nerve impairment.
There are built-in risks with taking shortcuts or using cheap implants. What may seem more affordable can become a costly and painful mistake. Nerves can become impaired with lingering pain. Infection can also occur while implants may loosen and need replacement. So always know the material and step by step plan for your dental implant procedure.
Dr. Sirin uses Promax® 3D technology with the ultra-low dose protocol for detailed digital images and to 3-D print a surgical guide for precise placement. He only uses high-quality implant fixtures. You’ll receive healthy, long-lasting tooth replacement.
If you are considering dental implants, Dr. Sirin can answer all of your questions during a comprehensive examination. During the exam, Dr. Sirin will explain the pros and cons of implants and help determine if they are the right choice for you. If you are not ready for an examination, you can schedule a complimentary consultation instead to meet Dr. Sirin and his staff and learn more about our office.
